Education

The Northeast Texas Chapter conducts a Basic Concrete Technology course every fall. The course will be located at the Ellison Miles Geotechnology Institute at Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas. This course consists of 12 lecture sessions conducted by local industry leaders in their respective area of expertise.
The course normally includes a session each on cements, aggregates, supplementary cementitious materials, admixtures, mix designs, production, testing, as well as problem solving and a look where the industry is going in the future.
We are proud of this class and feel it is the best way to get a good understanding of concrete as a construction material.

The next course is January 10 through February 28, 2012.

Additional information is in this PDF file, which includes the schedule and registration form. (This form is updated as the course approaches, so if the old version is still linked, check back about 2 months before the start date.)
