ACI Northeast Texas Chapter

The Northeast Texas Chapter frequently conducts ACI certification testing for Field Testing Technician-Grade I, and Concrete Strength Testing Technician. The time & place of training and examinations are noted on the calendar or by contacting Vartan Babakhanian.  The ACI NETX newsletter, Matrix, also provides schedule & examination information as dates are established.

ASTM Requirements for Certification of Technicians 

In accordance with ASTM C31-Making and Curing Concrete Test Specimens in the Field and ASTM C94-Ready-Mixed Concrete, field testing of concrete specimens to determine compliance with specifications or for acceptance testing shall be performed by a certified ACI Field Testing Technician-Grade I or equivalent. Likewise, ASTM C39-Compressive Strength of Cylindrical Concrete Specimens and ASTM C94-Ready Mixed Concrete states when strength is used as a basis for acceptance of concrete, the individual performing the tests must be certified as an ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician, a Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician-Grade I or II, or equivalent.

The Northeast Texas Chapter of the American Concrete Institute offers certifications for the concrete technician and craftsmen.
